Spotlight: Open course 'Reporting on Torture: The United Nations Human Rights System'
This free one hour self-directed e-learning course introduces participants to United Nations mechanisms related to torture and explores a human rights-based approach to journalism. Interactive learning activities and assessments test your understanding of key concepts and enable you to apply what you have learned. Participants who successfully complete a final assessment receive a certificate of completion. You can enroll in this course by joining the Human Rights Campus and finding the course under "Open courses".

Early registration discount ends 1 May for Human Rights Defenders Academy 2015
|
The Human Rights Defenders Academy is a training program for individuals working to advance human rights and fundamental freedoms around the world through peaceful means. Participants in the Academy will:
- increase their monitoring and advocacy skills;
- better understand the role and impact of EU foreign policy and advocacy related to human rights defenders;
- learn practical skills to ensure their own personal security and protection;
- build networks and exchange knowledge and experience with other human rights defenders.
